Back at Town Hall

THE popular Gordon Stewart will be back at the Town Hall for two organ concerts next month.

Gordon, who is Kirklees Borough Organist, will play the lunchtime recital on November 3 and on the following Monday. Both begin at Huddersfield Town Hall at 1pm.

In the first concert Gordon will play Sullivan’s Overture from The Pirates of Penzance, J Stanley’s Toccata For The Flutes and Bach’s Toccata, Adagio and Fugue.

In his concert a week later Gordon’s programme will include C V Stanford’s Fantasia and Toccata, Handel’s Organ Concerto: The Cuckoo and the Nightingale and G Thalben-Bell’s Elegy.

Tickets are £4 (£3 concessions) in advance from Kirklees booking offices, tel 01484 223200 or from the Town Hall box office on the day.

Lunches in the Old Court Room from noon on the day.
