Musical celebration

THERE’S a mix of brass and good humoured entertainment in store at Almondbury Methodist Church later this month and it is all in aid of the Huddersfield branch of the Royal Air Force Association.

This is the fourth year that the concert has been held at Almondbury Methodist Church and continues the links between the association and the young musicians of Sellers International Youth Brass Band.

The band, Huddersfield-based and well known for its musical skills and for its charity fund-raising, will play at Almondbury on November 22 at 7.30pm.

The young musicians, conducted by their musical director Mark Bousie, will play a mixed programme in a concert that usually attracts a packed house. And what better time to be supporting the RAFA than in the 90th anniversary year of the service.

Tickets are £6 and you can pay at the door.
