Art: Final days of the Holmfirth Arts Festival

HOLMFIRTH Arts Festival draws to a close this weekend.
Local musicians will celebrate the end of the festival on Sunday.
The closing concert at Holmfirth Parish Church will feature a range of music – from Tallis to Rutter – performed by musicians from Holmfirth and Huddersfield University.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door.
Activities on Saturday kick off at 10am at Holmfirth Library with a workshop on graphic storytelling from the creators of new novel, Holme: The Enchanted Valley.
Award-winning Holme Valley Singers are staging a free lunchtime concert at Holmfirth Parish Church from 12.30pm and also have a concert tomorrow evening at the United Reform Church, Kirkheaton, at 7.30pm with magician Philip Horn and female folk duo Sapphire. The busy choir also has an open rehearsal next Tuesday at Holmfirth High School from 7pm to 9pm and everyone is welcome.
The Sonic Happening is set to wow audiences at Holmfirth Picturedrome at 7.30pm tomorrow.
Featured artists include Mik Artistik, part comedian, singer, painter and performance artist.
Tickets are available on the door.
