Music: Organist Ryan Edwards plays at the Rex

ORGANIST Ryan Edwards returns to the Rex, Elland this weekend for this month’s concert.

Although only in his early twenties, Ryan has given over 500 concerts in the British Isles and will have played at more than 300 so far this year.

For his concert on Sunday (November 21) he will be playing his own Yamaha EL900 organ.

When he is not playing music, Ryan likes to keep fit.

He plays golf and snooker, runs and swims.

It helps him keep up with a busy schedule which has included making several recordings including Skyliner and Now... I know Why.

Nigel Ogden has regularly played some of the tracks on his radio show, The Organist Entertains.

“Our audience has always adored Ryan” said Charles Morris, proprietor of the Rex.

“I am sure we are in for a first-class concert.”

The concert begins at 2.30pm, refreshments will be served and a short film novelty will be shown.

Admission is £4.00.
