THE popular series of concerts at Salendine Nook Baptist Church gets underway this month.

The first of the new series of events is on September 17 at 7.30pm.

The church has invited Lindley Band back to open its new season.

The 25 strong band, conducted by its musical director Neil Jowett, will play a mixed programme classical to modern and may well include selections from shows and films.

The band has a number of other engagements including the Elland Entertainment on September 23 and its own gala concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on December 16.
