AFTER last year’s sell-out concert Kate Rusby is returning to Huddersfield Town Hall.
The contemporary folk singer and Yorkshire lass will play a gig at the town hall on December 1.
And while it may only be April, tickets go on sale today and are expected to be snapped up quickly.
Kate Rusby is steeped in her local traditions and this performance will showcase the carols and songs learnt through childhood in her native South Yorkshire.
She will be performing new variations of familiar carols mostly unheard outside the area, and will appear on stage with a brass quintet.
She’s been described as the defining voice of contemporary English folk music, and her finely wrought self-penned tunes have won her an audience that reaches beyond the genre.
See Kate in concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday, December 1 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £22.50 (£14 concessions for under 16s) from www.kirklees.gov.uk/townhalls or 01484 223200.
