IT IS the newest place in town – well in the Holme Valley actually.
Word has it that it’s the place to go for real Razzle Dazzle but you’ll have to get your diaries out. The Razzle Dazzle Speakeasy is open for one night only.
Honley Ladies Choir loves to sing, but they also love to have fun.
Put the two together and you have an annual summer event where they let down their hair and celebrate their passion for music. And that means everything from Abba to disco.
We’ve seen them tackling everything from Forties nostalgia to school’s out disco and even the American Wild West.
This year, they aim to turn the temperature up and the lights down as they head for the shady style of a Chicago Speakeasy.
Those really in the know are slicking their hair and polishing up their buckle shoes ready to bunny hug with Honley Ladies Choir (can it really be them?) and the Tame Valley Stompers for an evening of fun, laughs and good music.
The event is at the North Light Gallery, Armitage Bridge on Saturday, June 30, at 7.15pm.
Glitter and feathers will accompany cool swing and steamy jazz.
It’s whispered there are still a few tickets to be had, face value £12.50 inc. supper, from www.honleyladies.co.uk – but be quick or only the touts will have any left!
