Welcome to this year's festival, the most exciting and innovative festival yet. Featuring: Simon Armitage, Dorothea Smartt, Moniza Alvi and Alexei Sayle, as well as a specially commissioned version of Gilgamesh, a unique commission and film premiere, and an album-in-a-day event. Storytelling, short fiction, cabaret, novel writing, poetry, comedy, song, theatre, music, Manga, screenwriting, guided walks and masterclasses... I really think we deserve our tagline of 'the word in action'
