Music: Indie-dance Brazilians on winter tour

CRAZY Brazilian band CSS are preparing to provide fans everywhere with a Christmas treat – they’re going on tour.

The band have been the front-runners in the 2007 trend of indie-dance crossover music, which has got the indie kids dancing and the dance kids moshing.

They’ve spent the year enjoying plaudits, praise and success both in the charts and with their live shows that assault the senses.

Fresh from an arena tour supporting Gwen Stefani, they will be rounding off 2007 in style by performing a ‘Christmas Tour’.

The tour will bring them to Leeds University on December 2, Manchester Academy on December 4 and Sheffield Leadmill on December 19. From December 2 to 8, they will be supported by Metronomy and from December 10 to 20, Jing Jang Jong will be their warm-up act.

Following the tour, the band plan to return to their studio in Sao Paulo to record the follow-up to their 2006 hit debut, Cansei de Ser Sexy.

Tickets are now on sale for the tour, for more visit www.csshurts.com or www.myspace.com/canseidesersexy.
