Film review: I am Legend

In a nutshell:

It’s based on the book by Richard Matheson and features Will Smith as Robert Neville who is possibly the only survivor left after a cancer vaccine kills the majority of the world and leaves the rest as bloodsucking zombies. Robert’s mission is to survive – and find a cure.

Lauren

The film was very fast-paced, it kept me on the edge of my seat, even though my eyes were covered for a lot of it! There was a fantastic build up towards to the end, but was slightly disappointed with the ending as it was slightly predictable.

Will Smith played his role brilliantly, Robert and his dog Sam have a human-like relationship and at times the film, was really moving and brought a few tears to my eyes.

I thought the film took a while to get going and wasn’t one of Will Smiths best films. As Lauren said I think the end could have had more thought put into it.

To say the film was full of blood-sucking zombies there wasn’t enough gore for me!
