A whole Host of talents

YOUNG artists in Huddersfield are set to reveal their talents during the fifth annual Huddersfield Open Studio Trail event this month.

Thousands of visitors are expected to descend on Huddersfield over two weekends – September 20 to 21 and September 27 to 28 – to tour artists’ workshops around the area as part of the HOST project

They will see how artists work, view their creations and will even get chance to try their hand at the arts.

Everything from silverwork to chainsaw sculptures will be on show at the event, which was started in 2003 by local textile artist Dionne Swift.

It has grown year on year and attracted 5,000 visitors in 2007.
