Fresh competition: Slayer’s UK tour back on after Araya goes under knife to cure back problem
Jan 25 2010 by Nick Lavigueur, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
SLAYER’S UK tour is back on after frontman Tom Araya said he was on the track to recovery.
Last year’s tour was postponed after Araya’s back problems became too severe and was later cancelled after he failed to improve.
But now after undergoing surgery to cure what was diagnosed as Cervical Radiculopathy, the tour has been re-scheduled for May and June.
Long time Slayer manager, Rick Sales, said: “I think that his decision to have the surgery has helped improve the way he feels.
"While no one wants to go under the knife, his doctors are very confident about this procedure taking care of the problem once and for all.”
ŠAll tickets for the original shows are valid and The Haunted will remain as main support on all dates.
