It’s super food – eventually!

It’s super food – eventually!

THE Hi-talian Cafe describes itself as serving restaurant quality food at takeaway prices. And it certainly didn’t disappoint when myself and a colleague went there one busy lunchtime.

The cafe, near Huddersfield bus station, was bustling with people; always a good sign of top-class food. However it did mean we had to wait a while for our dishes to be created.

I went for the Butterworth panini, a mix of peppers, mushrooms, red onion and brie cheese melted on to a sundried tomato bread.

Its taste was delicious, fresh and filling. My only complaint was that it took too long to make.

My colleague Katie had the arrabiatti penne pasta, which she said had lots of good flavours.

Our assistant asked her to rate the spiciness of her dish and she opted for the lowest, which she still felt was a bit too spicy.

But the portion size was generous and she was able to save half to eat later in the handy little box it came in.

The menu is diverse, with plenty of vegetarian options and the food is created before your eyes. It’s a great lunchtime spot with great food.
