OH brother! was the cry at Huddersfield’s Nosh restaurant.

Owner Ben Franco was facing a kitchen crisis on the evening we called. His head chef was away and number two chef called in ill just before his shift.

So he called in a favour and roped in big brother Danny to help him out. The plan worked a treat – apart from the power cut, of course.

“It was one of those evenings,” said Ben.

“Danny used to work at Da Sandro’s restaurant in Birchencliffe and it was him who got me into catering.

“I roped him in to help out and it was like old times with the pair of us working together in the kitchen.

“Then the power went off in Almondbury. But luckily for us we had managed to get the last main course of the evening out just five minutes earlier.”

I doubt many of the diners were aware of the kitchen soap opera as the food was again of an excellent standard.
