FRESH: Bands battle for a place at Leeds and Reading Festivals in Futuresound competition

A panel of judges and the audience will vote for their favourite bands, in several categories.

First to fight it out on June 24 will be Castrovalva, Team Modeliste and Yonderboy.

On June 25, Broadcast Society, Last Gang and Ellen And The Escapades will do battle.

The, on July 1, it will be the turn of Benjamin Weatherhill And The Trumpets Of Death, Evil Regent and The Old Romantic Killer Band.

July 7 will see Holy State, Hey Sholay and Chickenhawk perform, followed by Aces And Eights, Gaze and Kinch on July 14.

July 15 will bring Bear Driver, Gary Stewart and Killing Fields Of Ontario to the stage and, on July 16, Just Handshakes (We’re British), Pavilion and Milk White White Teeth will compete.

On July 21, The Bedroom Orchestra (aka solo performer Tristan Mackay), Sketches and Wonderswan will appear.

Middleman, Spodni Pradlo and Stations will compete on July 22, followed by The Finnlys, Olfar And The Feral Pets and Fourteen Corners at the final heat on July 23.

Doors for each gig open at 7pm. Entry costs £4 in advance or £5 on the door.
