Dance and drama for summer hols
Jul 4 2008 by Val Javin, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
DANCE and drama is on the menu for children who find themselves at a loose end in the coming school holidays.
Week-long courses aimed at seven to 11-year-olds start on Monday, July 28 at the Brian Jackson Centre.
This is a morning course running between 10am and 1pm each day.
Or children can go to a similar course at Holmfirth Civic Hall on the week beginning Monday August 18. This is in afternoons from 2pm to 5pm.
There will be performances based on what has been learned on the last day.
The courses are run by Energise, a Kirklees Culture and Leisure Services scheme to get more young people more active. They cost £35.
Places must be booked in advance and parents need to register using the form in a brochure called Summer Buzz.
This describes the council’s summer programme of activities for children and young people.
