MY visits to the hairdresser have become more frequent recently as my hair is getting much greyer at the sides and back, so I’m trying to keep it shorter to hide it.
My Dad and older brothers went bald, so I’m pleased I haven’t taken after them.
So, the time has come to make the decision, should I go grey gracefully like George Clooney or get out the bottle out like Philip Schofield did?
The silver fox look seems to be in for some people. I know a lot of younger people who are attracted to grey hair and there are even dating websites aimed at them.
Maybe the grey will make me look distinguished? If I went for the dyeing option I’d be always worried that one day I might decide I didn’t like it and have to shock everyone like Philip Schofield did.
I saw a friend recently who’d dyed his hair black but it had gone a funny dark shade of purple and that really put me off. It looked like a DIY job to me. I couldn’t imagine sitting in the bathroom while my partner Michael did my roots.
So for now I’ll let nature take it’s course but if you see me looking a funny shade of orange in the future you know I’ve changed my mind!
