IT’S not many years ago that BMX pushbike riders were the bane of every council estate in Britain.
They rode ‘look no hands’ along the pavements, bowling old folks over, and did wheelies in supermarket car parks.
Now they’re an Olympic sport, and Britain has got medals to prove it.
This means that all sorts of activities not formerly considered worthy of the Games can now be taken into account.
It’s surely only a matter of time before you will be able to get gold, silver or bronze for hanging about on street corners, abusing passers-by, being sick over garden walls, tagging, cussing and spitting, kicking beer cans and joint-smoking.
Many of our young people are already in training. Watch out London!
