Five minute star interview: Keshia Knight Pulliam

KESHIA Knight Pulliam was born in 1979 in New Jersey, USA.

She rose to fame in 1984 as Rudy Huxtable in The Cosby Show and became the youngest ever actress to be nominated for an Emmy Award.

She has since appeared in the films Motives and Death Toll. She also stars in the sitcom House of Payne and next year stars in the movie Madea Goes To Jail.The Cosby Show: Season 2 is out on DVD, courtesy of Universal Playback.

If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone who would it be? Barack Obama. He'd be an interesting president. I'd just like to sit and talk to him.

What is your biggest fear? I try not to live my life in fear.

Do you have any superstitions? I'm not a real superstitious person. I try not to break any mirrors, but that's because I don't want to cut myself. I'm not one of those people who will purposefully go out of my way to do superstitious stuff, but hey, if it is true, I wouldn't want to take a chance.

If you could only have one song on your iPod what would it be? There's an old song called Always and Forever by Heatwave or something. I can't remember who sang it, but I love it.

What's the most expensive item you've ever bought, not including property or cars? It was probably while getting Pullpenn, my film and TV production company, started.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given? To never let anyone steal my joy.

When was the last time you cried and why?: Quite recently. It was a bad day.

How environmentally friendly are you? I try to be. I'll only drive my truck when I have to. I have dogs and stuff, so it's kinda necessary. I'm like the one who takes mesh grocery bags to the grocery store and I try and recycle; just do my part.There's a lot of little everyday things that you can do to help out.

How many texts do you send in a day? Probably several. About 50 or so.

Who is the most famous person whose number you have in your mobile? My mum, Denise.

What item could you not live without?: My lip gloss.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'm pretty good with me the way I am.

Where are you going on holiday? I'm on my way to the Bahamas. It's a holiday, but also one of my best friends is getting married.

What were you doing this time yesterday? I had a photoshoot yesterday so I was doing that. Getting hair and make up done and all that kinda good stuff.

What will you be doing this time tomorrow? This time tomorrow I will be working on stuff for the production company.
