‘I don’t see what all the fuss is about, I tried the new version for the first time last night and it seems pretty good’

LAUNCHED in 2004, social networking site Facebook can now boast about 100 million active users.
It’s become the most trafficked social media site in the world.
And although there have been dozens of social websites to rival it, such as MSN and Bebo, none seem to have had the same effect and popularity in growth as Facebook.
The internet’s most popular networking site allows users to upload photos, create groups and events, search for people, post wall entries on their friends’ profiles, and chat with friends using the instant chat service, among many other things.
But now creators of the site have come under fire, with millions of users up in arms about the new layout and design, and many claiming it imperils their privacy.
So could this mean a decline in Facebook users, or is it just a case of people getting to grips with its new style?
