One man was slashed across his head while another was stabbed in one night in Huddersfield. The man who was stabbed, apparently by a screwdriver, was attacked by masked attackers after a confrontation with a teen gang in Honley.

The call for cash probe followed the demise of Kirklees Equality and Human Rights Agency (Kehra). The Examiner revealed how the agency was headed by convicted fraudster Carl Hayes. Hayes was previously jailed in November 2005 for 12 months for NHS fraud.
3 1,500 homes left without water after main bursts
Water ran down Wakefield Road in Moldgreen after an underground water main burst. Surrounding areas were left dry and two schools closed for the day until work had been done to remedy the problem.

Staff at the Camel Club discovered a room hidden behind a wall under their Byram Court HQ which spread under nearby Byram Arcade. The room, which has been unused for 60 years, has been converted into a new venue.

The eight-acre stretch of land, formerly occupied by Dresser Roots engineering works has been put on the market. The land is situated at Turnbridge Road, off St Andrew’s Road close to the town centre.
