The credit crunch is the latest excuse of those who choose not to cook and say they have no money for food.
One morning this week the BBC interviewed a couple who said that they were now so hard up they couldn’t afford to eat properly. The fact that both were not just obese but probably morbidly obese and their living room sported an enormous widescreen television with DVD player made their claim seem unlikely.
So why don’t the British see food as their number one priority?
This is probably the question that Jamie needs to be asking.
Hopefully, as the series progresses we will discover the answer and Jamie will have one of his flashes of inspiration.
What would we do without him?
