Your chance to meet one-man writing machine

A PROLIFIC writer who has become a multi-media, one-man entertainment industry is coming to Huddersfield.
Somehow Frank Cottrell Boyce has achieved this while being a husband and a hands-on father to seven children in his big Liverpool villa.
Frank will give a talk followed by a book signing at Lindley Library in a free event organised by Kirklees Council, Kirklees and Calderdale children’s Bookgroup and the Children’s Bookshop, Lindley.
His work includes a series of five Radio 4 plays about punks, an animation film due out in 2010, his latest children’s novel Cosmic or episodes for popular TV soaps Coronation Street and Brookside.
His CV also includes 24 Hour Party People, a film about the Manchester music scene, as well as well as other quality cine-wonders, including Hilary And Jackie, Butterfly Kiss and Welcome To Sarajevo.
And then there was heavyweight television play God On Trial, set in a concentration camp.
It was based on a probably apocryphal story that the inmates of Auschwitz put God on trial for the horror they were being made to suffer.
