How 'The Journey' healing method can help people

TEACHER Jenny Scott decided to take The Journey with Clare Walters in an attempt to resolve “emotional and physical problems that had plagued my life for 28 years’’.

The 53-year-old head of languages at a sixth form college says the therapy has helped her “an awful lot’’.

“I couldn’t believe it really. It has helped me come to terms with the issues that I had and I feel much more confident in myself,’’ said Jenny.

A chronic allergy sufferer, with “on-going problems since childhood’’, Jenny had tried counselling but says that The Journey had a deeper, more profound effect on how she felt.

She said: “It tackles the psychological issues that have been at the back of your mind. You do need to be open-minded but then I think that’s true of everything in life.’’

Jenny was so impressed with the treatment that she persuaded her 14-year-old son to also undergo The Journey.

“He was really quite sceptical and thought it was freaky. But I’ve seen a real transformation in him. He was insecure, angry and unhappy for no apparent reason because he has had a very stable home life, but he was being bullied at school. He has grown in confidence since doing The Journey. It’s quite amazing,’’ she explained.

Jenny was one of Clare’s trial patients during her training and even though she has moved away from Huddersfield – to Scunthorpe – she travels back here once very few weeks. “I’ve been doing The Journey for about a year and will continue because it is helping me,’’ she said.
