Steven Cooper vanished from his Scar Lane home in Golcar on his 47th birthday, January 21 last year.

2) A ‘DANGEROUS’ Huddersfield man who repeatedly raped his stepdaughter has been jailed.

He was imprisoned for 12 years after a judge heard how the evil father used his credit card to pay for a secret abortion when his daughter became pregnant.

The girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, claimed her stepfather had sex with her more than 50 times over a three-year spell.

3) TESCO will not be coming to Holmfirth – for now.

The supermarket giant has dramatically shelved its plans to build a massive store with petrol station near the quaint Holme Valley town.

4) A FOUNDRY worker’s car was rammed by burglars after he caught them red-handed.

The thieves then threw a brick through the windscreen of the man’s people carrier as it was parked in the grounds of Thomas Broadbent and Sons Ltd, Queen Street South, Huddersfield.

The victim, who works in the foundry, had just arrived for the start of his shift on Thursday morning when he was caught up in the burglary just before 6am.

5) FAMILIES in two parts of Huddersfield are living in fear after a night of shootings.

Residents in Dalton and Bradley say innocent lives are being put at risk after their streets were targeted in gun attacks last Thursday night.

A major police enquiry is underway into the two incidents, which detectives believe were linked.
