1) ALLEGATIONS that underage strippers were working at a Huddersfield lap dancing club were made as far back as 2007, it emerged.
Now La Salsa, which is also at the centre of claims about seedy sex deals, could be shut for good.
Police ordered the club, on Beast Market in Huddersfield town centre, to close in the early hours of Saturday morning after an undercover investigation into claims customers were being offered sex for cash.
2) THE girlfriend of hit and run victim Adam O’Toole welcomed news of a police breakthrough.
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of teenager Adam who died in a fail-to-stop road tragedy almost three years ago.
3) RETAILER Tesco tabled plans for its controversial new store in Huddersfield.
The company wants to build a new store on the site occupied by Huddersfield Sports Centre and the Ibbotson and Lonsbrough flats at Southgate.
4) A MAN battered a 15-year-old dog to death with a baseball bat – because he thought it was “old and smelly.”
Jack Russell Emmy died at the hands of David Knight, of Hurstwood, Deighton, in a horrific, drink-fuelled attack.
Huddersfield Magistrates Court heard how a vet said Emmy had been repeatedly struck around the head with the bat and would have died in severe pain. Knight was jailed for five months.
5) A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with wounding after a man was stabbed through the eye with a stiletto heel.
Gavin Taylor, 28, remains seriously ill in hospital after the incident last Sunday.
He suffered the injury in the back of a taxi while travelling home from a night out in Huddersfield with his girlfriend.
