1) SHOCK as gunfire rocks Crosland Moor community.
Shots were fired in a night attack on a Huddersfield street.
Shocked residents were woken up in Crosland Moor by what one described as several shots last Sunday morning.
And one person believes that there may even have been an exchange of gunfire.
The shots were fired at around 3am on Walpole Road. Police later made arrests.
2) JAIL for babyfaced Rastrick killers who slit victim’s throat
Two teenagers have admitted killing grandfather John Greer.
Reece Gledhill, 18, of no fixed abode, admitted murdering Brighouse-born Mr Greer, 60, in September.
And Clare Hardy, 19, of Close Lea Way, Rastrick, admitted manslaughter on the grounds of provocation.
Father-of-five Mr Greer, of Arncliffe Crescent, Rastrick, was found dead at his flat on September 5 last year.
He had been strangled and his throat cut.
The pair were later jailed for a total of 20 years.
3) FARTOWN High School to move onto All Saints site in Huddersfield
Huddersfield’s first new secondary school for more than 30 years could be built at Bradley.
Kirklees Council today announced today it wants to build a £20m-plus school for 11 to 16-year-olds on the same extended campus as All Saints Catholic College which will benefit from refurbishment.
It will have 1,200 places and will replace Fartown High School.
4) MAN stabbed outside Lloyds bar on King Street in Huddersfield
A man was glassed in the neck on a night out in Huddersfield town centre.
Police say they believe the 23-year-old was wounded with a glass in the early hours of Saturday morning.
5) HUDDERSFIELD Town chairman Dean Hoyle: I need fans backing on season tickets
Dean Hoyle says he will continue to drive Town forward – but has warned he cannot do it without the backing of fans.
