HOBBIES: Cricket, skiing and golf. I also coach the under 15s at Clayton West.
What was the last movie you watched at the cinema? Marley & Me. Our own Labrador was a pup at the time and had definite similarities with Marley.
Which TV programme is your all-time favourite? Only Fools and Horses, classic.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Switzerland, easily the most beautiful place in the world.
On a personal note, what is your best quality? Generosity – ask the Holme Build staff.

What is your favourite local shop? Gawthorpe Butchers – traditional family business and top quality.
Name your ideal way to spend an evening out. Lovely meal and real ale at somewhere like The Three Acres.
How do you normally spend Christmas and New Year? Always at home with family and friends.
What is the last book you read? Some crime novel on holiday which I can't remember the name of. Don't normally have time for reading.
What is the last luxury item you bought for yourself? No idea, not into gadgets, prefer to spend money on seeing places.
Looking back in history, who is the man or woman you most admire? Mr Lunn (can't remember his first name), the Englishman who invented downhill skiing.
Name a favourite piece of music. The Wonder of You by Elvis.
What is the most important thing in your life today? Family, business, dog, friends, cricket club (in that order).
Have you ever had a pet and if so, what did you name it and why? Black Labrador (nearly two years old) called Monty. Name decided by mutual family consent whilst walking round Pugney's just before getting him.
If you could go and watch any sports team, who would it be? European Ryder Cup team/Clayton West under 15 cricket club (sheer class).
What concerns you most about modern life and today's society? Pace of life and decreasing community spirit.
What is your overall opinion of Huddersfield as a place to live? Beautiful location, scenery and architecture, awful amenities and traffic problems.
