Hall, 55, is charged with aggravated murder after claims he killed her in a drunken fight in Rennes, Brittany.

4) Huddersfield man who stabbed stranger hid knife up his bottom

A man concealed his four-inch knife in his backside after stabbing a stranger and then threatening police.

Simon Littleford, 46, launched an unprovoked attack on David Hirst at the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Slaithwaite on July 4, 2009.

He then brandished the lock-knife at police who went to speak to him two days later.

After being arrested the same day, Littleford was strip-searched and the knife discovered.
