A HUGE fire in Milnsbridge forced residents to evacuate their homes on Wednesday night.
Arsonists are being blamed for the fire which threatened to spread to neighbouring homes and shops in Market Street and Armitage Road.
2) Police chase using cars and helicopter across Huddersfield ends in Honley
A DRAMATIC police chase across Huddersfield ended at Honley on Tuesday.
Officers in cars and vans and the West Yorkshire Police helicopter joined the pursuit of two suspected burglars in a car.
They had followed the black Citroen for several miles through residential streets and country lanes before it finally stopped at Honley.

But businessman Mr Abdul Hafiz insists he has brought Los Angeles to Huddersfield and his neighbours are jealous of his beautiful future home on Inglewood Avenue.
Kirklees councillors will decide whether to grant retrospective permission for what Mr Hafiz has called ‘minor alterations’ at a planning meeting on August 11.
4) Greenhead Park Conservatory opens in a glaze of glory
GREENHEAD Park’s restored conservatory has welcomed its first visitors.
The stunning Grade II listed building has been returned to its former glory as part of a £5.4m revamp of the park.
It was a second major boost for those behind the park revamp on Monday, as the restored tennis courts were also opened.
5) Police probe into Lindley Grange nursing home
A HUDDERSFIELD care home is at the centre of a police investigation.
It is thought that detectives are investigating allegations of an incident during one night involving two residents.
The police have talked to staff at the home, but no-one has been arrested.
