FUNDRAISERS trying to help wounded ex-soldiers were booted out of a Huddersfield supermarket.
Volunteers from Help for Heroes were ordered to leave Huddersfield’s Asda – despite the company taking part in a nationwide collection campaign with the military charity.
An Asda spokesman said: “We’re sorry if there was any misunderstanding around the Help for Heroes collection and for any upset caused, but we hope to welcome the charity back in the future.”

MORE than four in five motorists are speeding on some of Huddersfield’s busiest roads.
Department of Transport figures show that on some roads the vast majority of Huddersfield drivers are ignoring fixed speed cameras and driving over the limit.
The worst road in Kirklees is the A629 Wakefield Road between Huddersfield town centre and Waterloo, which is a 30mph zone.
3) Man trapped in car after bizarre accident on lonely Huddersfield road
A LONE driver was trapped in his car for over an hour after a bizarre accident on an isolated country road in the early hours of last Thursday.
Crews from Huddersfield, Slaithwaite and Elland were called out at 3.30am and spent 70 minutes trying to rescue a man in his 20s whose foot was trapped between the bottom of the car and a fence post in a car park near Nont Sarahs pub on New Hey Road, Scammonden.
4) Landowner’s plan for 800 homes on green belt land at Ainley Top
DEVELOPER Thornhill Estates has proposed a huge commercial and residential development in green belt at Ainley Top.
Kirklees Council wants to allow 200 new homes in the area as part of its controversial Local Development Framework (LDF).
But Thornhill has suggest quadrupling this to 800 houses. The exact location is not known.
The landowner also wants to develop a five-hectare site at Ainley Top which it says would create 750 jobs and attract £180m of investment.
5) Men charged over Thornhill Lees murder
TWO men face murder charges after a man injured in a street brawl in Thornhill Lees died.
Nisar Shah, of Dewsbury, made a brief appearance last Thursday charged with the murder of 39-year-old Jack Carter. A 24-year-old man, Nazakat Alam, was later also charged with murder.
