THIS is the moment the night sky exploded in majestic colour above Greenhead Park.

The fireworks display marked the official opening after the two-year £5.4m revamp to transform the park.

It was captured by photographer and Examiner reader Gareth Mitchell who lives in Brighouse.

The opening marked the park’s 127th anniversary.
