To complete her day Linda, 59, from Golcar, was also given a full hair restyle and colour at the Three Degrees. Paul Plant, one of the owners, said: “We’re here so that people using the spa can have their treatments and then have their hair done so that they leave feeling good and looking great.’’
Stylist Carmel Reynolds said she wanted to create a natural sun-kissed look for Linda’s greying hair. “Nothing too dramatic so I used lowlights and highlights to blend with the grey,’’ she explained.
She then gave Linda’s hair a shorter, chic cut, keeping the length around the face but feathered for a softer effect.
To complete her new look, Titanic beauty therapist Leah Smirthwaite used Jane Iredale mineral cosmetics to give Linda a healthy glow.
After eight hours of relaxation and pampering, Linda said she’d really enjoyed her special day and her first port of call before going home was to visit friend Andrea.
“She was absolutely thrilled,’’ said Andrea, who was also delighted that Linda had been chosen. “I told her she looked 20 years younger. I was really pleased for her.’’
