LUCY BENNETT, who trained at the University of Huddersfield, is one of four Yorkshire fashion designers to take part in a new venture at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
Competing for a chance to sell their designs to the fashion and music brand Fashion Rocks, the designers saw their work go on sale this week in a dedicated boutique at the centre called In New Designers We Trust.
Lucy, whose label Roc & Doll was launched at the Bates Mill complex in Huddersfield town centre, is now based in Leeds and is sharing the retail space with Klue by Kelly-Ann, Harper Womenswear and Maria Franco.
Their collections will be rated by a panel of expert mentors and the winner will be asked to supply clothing to sell alongside big names such as D&G and Red Valentino.
