THERE’S no need to do any training for the Make-over Marathon being held on April 25 and 26 in Boots’s Huddersfield store.

To take part in this fundraising event for the Look Good, Feel Better charity all that’s necessary is to make a booking with one of the three beauty consultants involved; Jo Burke at Max Factor, Stephanie Longden, of Benefit, and Carol Haigh at No 7.

For a £5 donation everyone who makes an appointment will be given a relaxing and pampering beauty make-over. Every customer will also get a free entry into a prize draw.

Look Good, Feel Better is the cosmetic industry’s charity, founded 14 years ago to help women combat the visible side-effects of cancer treatment.

It works on the principle that looking good can boost self-confidence and self- esteem at a time in women’s lives when they are at a low ebb.

The charity pays for free make-up workshops in 50 hospitals across the UK.

This year it will help 8,000 women, including teenagers.

More than 850 volunteer beauticians work for the organisation, which is supported by the 60 members of the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Perfumery Foundation.

Although Saturday is already looking busy, there are still places available on both days at all three counter. Call at the counter of your choice to make an appointment.
