Keep an eye open for Huddersfield Choral Society making an appearance on Songs of Praise this Sunday with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
The choir, under the direction of David Lawrence, recorded material for the popular BBC series during a visit to Gorton Monastery earlier this month.
Under the series’ new format the society recorded a number of items for inclusion in a number of programmes, including hymn favourites such as Dear Lord and Father of Mankind and Hills of the North Rejoice as well as Pardisium from Faure’s Requiem and Surely He Hath Bourne Our Griefs from Handel’s Messiah.
