A HUGE fundraising campaign is now going on to raise £3m for major renovation work at Kirkwood Hospice.
So with this capital appeal in mind, we thought we’d look back at some of the flurry of fundraising in the late 1980s following the completion of the hospice, which continued into the 1990s.

Here with £50 raised for Kirkwood Hospice from just two nights’ carol singing in 1988 are Amanda Clarke and Mandy Watson, centre left and right.
