IT’S certainly a whopper and the owner of this print now wants to find out more about this monster fish and the people who caught and then sold it.
Julian Williams, from Edgerton, recently bought this photograph as a glass plate negative and is keen to discover the whole tale behind it.
The name G Mell is in the background and it may be the monster fish was pictured at Huddersfield Market.
But what date was it? The flat caps and clothes suggest possibly the 1920s?
And can anyone identify what kind of fish it was?
The length was 9ft long, 4ft 6ins wide and it weighed in at a whopping 476lbs.
