The kids are alright in our second nostalgia gallery from November 1988.

We've got more pictures from the Examiner archives, including snaps from our Junior Journalist competition, where youngsters took the roles of reporters, photographers and editors to produce a Children's Page for the paper.

There's also some terrific pictures of Boys' Brigade companies from the Pennine Division of the Yorkshire Battalion on parade in Mirfield, and stories from the Scouting and Guiding movement.
