The under-fives also took part in the Walk a Mile with a Smile national charity event. Children from playgroups across the country completed the sponsored walk to raise money for BarnardoÕs in Yorkshire and their own groups. The event coincided with Barnados' week and PPA playgroup week. 17th June 1992.17 of 18Top UK Scout Garth Morrison visited a gathering of 650 West Yorkshire members in Huddersfield. He presented 77 scouts with the Chief Scouts Award, the highest honour. The celebratory camp at the Bradley Wood site offered more than 20 activities over the two days including canoeing, archery, swimming, cooking and an aerial runway.
