Road safety officer WPc Joanna Burton presents prizes to pupils at Woodhouse Infants School for the best paintings, drawings and projects produced during a safety fortnight.

The highlight of the event was a visit by police horses Ambassador and Derwent, and there was also a visit from Tufty Club members.

Organised by teacher Mrs Jean Wesson, the first week of the fortnight featured films and talks on road and home safety, for the schools' 170 pupils who are aged between four and seven.
