Long before global warming was a common phrase, youngsters in Huddersfield were saving the environment!

This week's nostalgia gallery goes back to November 1988, where kids were keen to go green.

Moor End High School raised money for WWF, we've got tree planting pictures and Shelley High School declared war on litter!

Honley High School joined in by cleaning up their local railway station and Ashbrow Juniors got stuck into cleaning a local pond.

Plus there's Halloween hi jinx, marching bands on parade, lots of fundraising and event a vintage vehicle in this week's gallery.

Take a look back to November 1988 — do you recognise anyone pictured?
