The awful floods earlier this year were nothing new to many Huddersfield folk - as these pictures from 1965 show!
Roads across the town and further afield were left under water as rivers and canals broke their banks.
Mirfield's beleaguered Ship Inn was of course flooded out, with staff left bailing out buckets of water.
