THE saga of Aaron Cook looks set to run and run – possibly beyond the Olympic Games that the row is all about.

Cook has not been selected by GB Taekwondo for London 2012 despite being the world number one in the -80kilogram class.

He has been controversially overlooked in favour of Lutalo Muhammad for this year’s Games – the most obvious reason for this being that he refuses to train with the GB Taekwondo camp preferring to use his own coaching team.

He is to take his case over his non-selection for London 2012 to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after the British Olympic Association rejected the latest in his long series of appeals and refused to re-open the case.

Cook’s camp maintain the GB Taekwondo selection process was flawed, but you have to feel there comes a point where you have to take a different course.

Given his abilities it would be simple enough for Cook to just offer the powers-that-be outside, but perhaps a better bet would be to sign up for someone else – maybe the Cook Islands would like a gold medal.
