DURING the Radio Five Live match commentary on Arsenal v Manchester City from the Emirates, I swear the commentators managed to contradict themselves within a minute.
One second they were discussing the time that would be added on for ‘an injury and for the substitutions’.
The next City were warming up Aleksandar Kolarov and we were informed the Manchester side were doing it with the intention of ‘running down the clock’. How can you run the clock down if the referee adds a minute on for changing a player?
You can’t have it both ways – is time added on for substitutions or not?!
