THERE is something very evocative about photographs taken at dawn or dusk.

They can produce the most spectacular of scenic shots and seem to cast a kindlier light on all manner of scenes.

Here, Ian Brooke of Springwood, was out and about in Huddersfield town centre early enough to get this picture of dawn breaking over High Street and Ramsden Street beyond.

The soft rays of an early November sun flood up the street catching the stonework of the buildings and glinting off windows.

It gives the street a softer look, the historic buildings standing particularly proud in the gentle, early light.

We welcome submissions for Picture Of The Week.
