EIGHT-year-old Cameron Price, right, took his camera when he went out for a walk – and came back with this stunning shot for the Examiner’s Picture Of The Week.

He is the youngest person ever to submit photos for this section of the paper, capturing this spectacular sunset over Holmfirth.

Cameron, the son of Tommy and Ruth Price, lives in Brockholes and is a pupil at Brockholes Primary School.

He said: “We were walking on the fields at Holmfirth High School and my friend said ‘why don’t you take some photos?’ so I did and this was one of the results.

“I then submitted them through the Examiner website.’’

Dad Tommy added: “It was only a relatively inexpensive Canon IXUS105 camera, but Cameron got some great results and ended up taking around 100 photographs that day.’’

We always need submissions for Picture Of The Week.

If your eye has been caught by a sunny face, a community event or a beautiful building, then send in those images too.

We are always keen to celebrate the town’s achievements, its spirit and its people.

So please get out the camera and share your view of what makes Huddersfield so special.

Send entries to features@examiner.co.uk or you can drop them in the post to Picture of the Week, Features, Huddersfield Daily Examiner, Pennine Business Park, Longbow Close, Bradley Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD2 1GQ.
