PHOTOGRAPHER Mark Hemingway clearly doesn’t travel far without his camera gear.

“I was on my way back from Haigh House Hill and was crossing the motorway bridge when I saw this view.

“ I had the tripod in the boot but the picture was a bit shaky because I was on the bridge near the Wappy Springs and it was really very windy.”

Mark, who lives in Lindley, works for a construction company and spends his working life photographing buildings and making them look good.

For this striking picture of the M62 motorway, he used a Fuji X1 Pro camera.

“As well as being a photographer, I’m a local councillor. I’d been out to see someone in the ward who wanted to raise an issue with me and was on my way home when I stopped to take this.”

We always need submissions for Picture Of The Week.

If, like Mark, your eye is caught by a stunning image, a beautiful building or happy faces at a community event, take a picture and send it in.
