THE Colne Valley can seem a bleak place in deep midwinter – but this robin certainly brightened up Marsden resident Andrew Kelly’s day.

The keen amateur photographer was walking down a footpath off Carrs Road when he spotted the friendly bird.

“I was taking landscape pictures and it was really quiet,’’ said Andrew.

“This Robin came up, jumped on my camera and even pecked at my head.’’

The 42-year-old website developer took the photograph with his seven-year-old Lumix camera.

Andrew specialises in taking photographs of landscapes and wildlife and is particularly keen on getting photographs of badgers in their natural environment.
