COMEDY hit Last Of the Summer Wine is out of the running in voting to find the funniest-ever TV programme.

And there was also no place in the final 10 of comedy gems for `Allo `Allo, which starred Huddersfield actor Gorden Kaye.

Both were in the final 50 best comedy programmes, whittled down to a Top 10 on TV over the weekend.

The Top 10 are: Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses, Blackadder, Dad's Army, One Foot In The Grave, Open All Hours, Porridge, The Good Life, Yes Minister and The Vicar of Dibley.

Celebrities begin their campaigns to win votes for the top programme from next Saturday.
